About LEAN

Lewisham Education Arts Network (LEAN) champions arts education. We believe that all children and young people should have arts, creativity and culture as part of their lives.

Founded in 2000, LEAN has developed a strong collaborative network of artists, educators and organisations. We have delivered a variety of arts education programmes and partnership projects – for example Lewisham Live Festival 2010-2021 and the Army of Creatives Creative Careers programme.

LEAN has a range of memberships open to those living and / or working around Lewisham and involved in arts education for children and young people.

LEAN is a UK registered charity and a limited company. We are currently part funded by Lewisham Council and raise further funds from a range of sources. You can view our annual reports and policies here.

LEAN is managed by a board of volunteer trustees and run by a small team of paid staff.
