Our Mission
LEAN believes that all children and young people should have arts, creativity and culture as part of their lives, enhancing their confidence, wellbeing, aspirations, connection and agency.
Our Aims
We champion and build high quality creative opportunities for children and young people aged 0-19 (or SEND aged 25). Working with organisations and individuals, we enable, develop, celebrate and advocate cultural learning in Lewisham.
LEAN’s aims have four pillars: Advocate and Celebrate, Develop, Enable, and Lead. These all form the overall Delivery Strategy for LEAN and combine to enable LEAN to fulfil its mission and realise its vision.

Advocate and Celebrate
To lobby for, champion and celebrate creative opportunities for CYP within Lewisham and to profile Lewisham outside of the borough.
Develop
To provide support, information and guidance to those involved in arts and cultural education.
Enable
To create, conditions, conversations and connections, facilitating collaboration and working in partnership.
Lead
To identify need and gaps in creative opportunities for children and young people and take direct action.
