Branch out: Introduction to Teaching Adults

Our popular course for 2013 is now open for booking.

Posted: 10/03/2022

Programmed by LEAN for people who want to develop creative courses for adults.

  • If you have never received any formal training to teach adults, or need a refresher?
  • Want some tips from the experts on how to ensure your clients get the best out of their sessions and don’t walk with their feet?
  • Want to know how formal teaching techniques (inclusivity, differentiation, boundaries, assessment) have a place in informal learning and keep your clients coming back?

Trainer: Graham de Smidt MA(Ed), BA Hons (Psychol), BA (Photog), Cert Ed. Consultant Professional and Adult Education, Training and Curriculum Development

Graham De Smidt is an exceptional teacher trainer with a excellent track record both at Lewisham College and within the sector.

This is the second opportunity to attend this short course.

Testimonial:

‘Although I completed the feedback form on the above workshop, I just had to write to stress how incredibly marvellous this two week course ended up being.

Graham truly expanded our boundaries, and led us into territories filled with a wealth of information! I cannot praise the usefulness of this course enough – it was truly superb!’

2 x 2hr sessions on 23 and 30 April 2013, 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

PLEASE NOTE that you must attend both sessions – this is a two-part course rather than two separate sessions.

Cost: £30 for the two sessions. Discount of £5 on £30 cost if you have taken part in an earlier Branch Out training session.
