Arts Award & Museums: Made to Measure

Working as a peer network, with the added support of Arts Award specialists to guide and critique, this workshop will equip you with an applied knowledge and understanding of how to use the Award as a framework for learning with children & families.

Date: Tue 16 October, 15:30 – 17:30

At: The Garden Museum, 5 Lambeth Palace Road, SE1 7LB

Free, but spaces limited

Posted: 10/03/2022

During the session, you will have the opportunity to design the content for your own Arts Award resource/logbook and explore how you can use the A New Direction Discover Museums resource in your setting.

The new A New Direction Case Study Guide to Learning Resources for Museums, produced in consultation with six London museums, will frame the workshop with planning tools, top tips for success & case studies.

Places are limited, but all are very welcome. For those who book we encourage you to:

  • Have a potential Arts Award project/area of work in mind

  • Bring along Arts Award resources you have used, have made previously or that you’d like to critique!

  • Be open to keeping in touch with A New Direction & if possible share your Arts Award experience & resources with others

The event will be in the Garden Museum’s new Clore Learning Space & refreshments will be provided. The Museum will close for visitors at 5pm. Kindly hosted by The Garden Museum, those attending are welcome to visit the museum beforehand for free – just let the front desk know you are here for the event.
