The afternoon will be run in partnership with from TechPathways London, a new programme of free training for educators of 11-24 year olds, who will be delivering a range of workshops. Funded as part of the Mayor of London’s Digital Talent programme, their aim is to bridge the digital skills gap between education and the 21st century jobs market. They help educators support young people in developing the digital skills they need to succeed in the modern workforce.

This event is best suited to cultural organisations and individual practitioners working with Children and Young People who:

  • are keen to try out free and accessible digital tools and techniques to enhance young peoples skills and progression.
  • interested in connecting across the cultural and arts sector to discuss good practice and learn from young creatives and practitioners.
  • want to find out more about Arts Council England’s strategic priorities and support with digital learning and access.

Participants will also get a chance to hear about the support on offer from Haydn Corrodus London’s Arts Council England’s Tech Champion, and find out more about A New Direction’s Small Change CPD programme for the cultural sector. The afternoon will end with a session from Kieran Akhtar, a young filmmaker and Future Start Up Now Alumnus with Create Jobs, who will discuss the programme, insights and challenges for young people in creative and digital sectors.
