Arts Council England announce funding for NPOs 2014/2015

A brief summary of the NPO announcement for Arts Council
England:
- Arts Council England announced their National Portfolio
Organisation and Major Partner Museum funding for 2015-2018 on 1st
July 2014. - 670 organisations are being funded
- According to the ACE website disciplines funded include
from dance to literature and festivals to visual arts - Out of the total, 46 are new organisations and 56 are no
longer funded.
What does this mean
for Lewisham? Spoken word, theatre, performing arts, participatory arts,
combined arts and music are represented in Lewisham (see below). Deptford, and
more specifically The Albany, is the hub of NPO action for Lewisham, with 7 of the
8 Lewisham NPOs based here:
Greenwich Dance Agency in
Partnership with Laban Dance Faculty, Trinity Laban
And the Horniman Museums and Gardens received Major Partner
Museum status.
