Support for Lewisham Live 2017 has exploded in recent months with grants from Arts Council England and the Foyle Foundation . Waste management organisation SELCHP has come on board as media sponsor for the festival, and we have even been selected to receive a portion of the community fund awarded by Waitrose Greenwich.

Lewisham Live 2017 has recently been awarded grants from Arts Council England, the Foyle Foundation and waste management organisation SELCHP to support the 2017 festival. Through a public vote, where shoppers could ‘post’ a green coin for their favourite charity, Lewisham Live was also awarded £349 from Waitrose Greenwich.
These grants have helped fund programmes such as Creative Collective, a new project for 2017 in partnership with Trinity Laban. Creative Collective is an exciting programme working with 10 young performers, mentored by professional composer Mark Bowden and choreographer Bethan Peters, to create innovative and challenging pop-up performances across Lewisham and at Tate Modern as part of the Tate Exchange.
The Creative Collective have already been meeting for workshop sessions and they will showcase their works-in-progress on the 17th February at the Tate Exchange as part of Lewisham Live 2017.
A list of all Lewisham Live 2017 events will be posted soon.
A huge thank you to all our funders for their kind support and to all those who voted at Waitrose Greenwich.
