The Egg Assembly are looking for an innovative and playful writer to come on board for the development of our upcoming digital storytelling project.
This role will need to tease out the narrative possibilities, ground the dramaturgical world and explore the exciting theatrical potential of what is predominantly a digital project. Themes that we hope to explore include; crossing the boundaries of art and protest, real implications in sustainability law and practice, environmental impact, and theatrical experience in the digital sphere.
Working with a team of young, developing writers, the chosen collaborator will flesh out a solid structure whilst co-creating the specific content required. Ideal candidates will have experience of working alongside/teaching young people aged 13+, will be passionate about the projects themes and enthusiastic supporters of developing creativity for all.
This will be a collaborative piece, alongside young people and a professional team.
Dates: The final piece will be launched in three stages between January and June 2021. Commitment from the writer includes:
Up to five production meetings from mid December
Working with a young writers group one or two evenings a week from January-February
First draft/structure mid March 2021
Design draft mid April
Final draft mid May
Project launch by 1st June
