ZSL would like this to be an interpretation of a giant Galapagos
tortoise but larger than life encouraging a sense of fun or awe.
Creating anticipation for the exhibit and emphasising that these are
the largest tortoises in the world, it must contain the exhibit name and
work as an interactive opportunity for visitors whether just as photo
opportunity or an element of play.
It needs to be robust, tactile and safe for visitors to interact with over 1million of them a year.
Theyre looking for the structure to be in the region of 3000-5000mm in
width, with an overall budget of £10k including transportation and
installation.
It will be installed on Barclay Court, the central hub for visitors
at the Zoo and should be designed on a concrete base or may require a
wetpour safety flooring depending on design.
It should be created from sustainable materials with a lifespan of 7-10 years. With a warranty of 2 years.
Salary: budget of £10k
