Please find below information about Recognition Festival, September 2011. We are currently looking for organisations or individuals that work with Young People in Deptford and the close surrounding area to participate in promoting their activities or events, those who may have a venue that could be used or anyone that would like to support the festival in other ways through benefit in kind or financial.

The idea of Recognition 2011 is to highlight to young people the huge amount on offer for them in Deptford by creating a day of open house events (all held on the same day in September). A flier displaying a map will pin point various activities around Deptford that can be accessed on that day for either a reduced fee or for free. It will be an opportunity for you to promote your activities and to highlight the good work being done within the local community for young people. The current aspiration is that it will culminate in a celebratory outdoor event.
While we know that there are still various TBC aspects, we are asking for those who are in principle able to be involved to give me the following information below. This process will not mean a final commitment to the project, as it is realised you cannot do this till a date or funding is confirmed.
What can you do to be involved?
An activity: If you are [in principle] able to offer an activity on the day of the festival or lead-up activities that will culminate in a performance/exhibition at the festival, please could you reply to this email clearly stating the following information:
· Name/Name of organisation
· Contact details
· Activity you are able to offer
· A budget please state actual costs next to anything you are able to offer any in kind or at a reduced fee – Its important we know real costs as well as what you can offer for free/a reduced rate, so we can show on any funding applications the real cost of anything offered in kind.
A venue: If you are unable to offer an activity, but could offer a venue (ie: a youth club hall, a cafe etc) please reply with the above details as we may be able to match you with an activity looking for a host.
A service/skill: If you are unable to offer an activity or venue, but could offer a service or skill (printing for marketing, volunteers, web design, publicity/PR and media etc) please also make contact with a clear indication of what you could offer and any costs involved.
