Lewisham Youth Theatre is
seeking a theatre practitioner experienced in developing, coordinating and
delivering theatre and performance-based interventions for young people facing
multiple disadvantages. The successful candidate will become a core part
of LYTs delivery team, working from LYT’s base at the Broadway Theatre,
Catford.
About the Role: The Step Up Programme Manager
will manage and deliver LYT’s successful Step Up drama project for vulnerable
young people aged 16-24. The role combines project coordination with drama
delivery, directing theatre productions and supporting participants to build
skills and progress to further opportunities. The post involves:
- Managing the programme of work, including
recruiting participants, planning & evaluating projects in line with
LYTs core objectives - Delivering targeted drama sessions and theatre
projects in the community - Directing 2 x theatre productions a year,
including a schools tour - One-to-one mentoring of vulnerable
participants
About LYT: Since 1987, Lewisham Youth Theatre (LYT) has
provided participatory drama programmes to young people aged 3-24 who live or
learn in Lewisham. All programmes are free to young people. LYT
provides a universal service, but targets recruitment at young people in need

Salary: £26000 to £28000 p/annum, pro
rata (dependent on
experience)
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per
week). We will also consider job-share arrangements for this role.
