The Royal College of Music are seeking to appoint a Learning & Participation Administrator to support the work of RCM Sparks, the RCMs flagship Learning and Participation department. RCM Sparks provides opportunities for everyone to make or learn about music at the RCM and gives access to inspirational learning experiences for all regardless of financial means. RCM Sparks offers projects, events and workshops in local schools and communities, working with families and young people. The Learning & Participation Administrator will:
- Take a proactive role in supporting the day-to-day management of activities relating to the RCM Sparks programmes, including accounting and financial administration
- Take responsibility for the administration and coordination of a selection of RCM Sparks projects liaising with schools, partners, professional workshop leaders, the public and students
- To take a proactive role in organising all student placements linked to undergraduate and post-graduate Music Education curriculum programmes and support the weekly Level 5 sessions.
- Provide coordinating and leadership support at RCM Sparks events, performances and workshops, working occasional evenings and weekends as required
The successful applicant will be administratively self-sufficient and have previous experience of organising outreach work in educational and/or community settings. Your commitment to widening access, enthusiasm for and knowledge of musical activities in community and school settings, will be key in enabling you to excel in this role which is a lynchpin in the successful delivery of the RCM Sparks programme.
This post is offered on a permanent, full-time, basis and will require hybrid working in the office and at home. The post is immediately available.
