Due to successful program of exhibitions, events since opening Tank is now expanding its premises to include a new shop and storage area. As Gallery Technician intern you will work closely with the director to set up and develop the new part of the premises. You will help to create the right look and feel to the building including the outside space where viability and information need to be enhanced.

Gallery Technician Internship
Other duties will include assisting with installing and deinstalling exhibitions which will provide an interesting variation of tasks. Making general improvements to the gallery space and assisting with the production of Tank exhibitions and events in other locations across London.
As an intern you will be requested to commit to 1-2 shifts per week. The shifts can be flexible so as to work around the Tank programme. Shifts are from 1pm-6pm from Wed-Sunday.
Working at Tank can give you experience in one of the many exciting spaces in thriving South East London art scene and are especially interested in applicants who have a connection with the area.
This job is suitable for 18+year olds. We are looking for people who are energetic and ambitious.
Excellent DIY and building skills are required and experience as a labourer, painter/decorator or any manual building jobs are desirable.
An interest in the arts is desirable but not essential.
This job will include working up ladders, carrying and lifting.
Applicants must be physically able to do this.
Duration: Three Months
The internships are voluntary, although we may be able to contribute towards travel expenses and are able to provide some food from the Ladywell Tavern, which which we are in partnership.
