Beanstalk Arts are looking to recruit experienced freelance early years specialists. Candidates must be able to play an acoustic musical instrument (other than piano, ukulele or guitar) to a confident performing and improvising level AND guitar or ukulele (or be willing to lean ukulele) and be comfortable using a storytelling framework working with pre-schoolers and their parents. Training will be provided to work within the Beanstalk Arts session structure, and resources and story plans will be provided, you will also be required to set up your space and sign people in.
This is an initial c.8 week contact delivering 2/3 sessions in a block, but may form the basis for an ongoing relationship where more work opportunities will be available. The day and start date is flexible, and this will be in the SE London area. Applications will be considered as received.
Fee: Short 8 week contract £720 for the 8 mornings if 3 sessions, £560 if 2 sessions (timings and day will be discussed as there is some flexibility), and this fee covers preparation of material in advance. (£90 per 3 session morning, training/shadowing sessions are paid). Payable in monthly installments on receipt of invoice
For any any further sessions or cover work offered, Beanstalk can can offer a fee of £90 for 3 sessions, £70 for 2 sessions or £40 for a single session (where sessions are in the same venue), with potential for up to 6 sessions in a day.
