Discover Childrens Story Centre is the UKs first hands-on creative
literature space for children aged 0-11 years and their families/carers
dedicated to generating a love of language, literature and stories.
At the heart of Discover are two floors of magical Story Worlds and a
Story Garden – immersive, exploratory play spaces where children and
their imaginations can roam. The Discover team also work alongside
bestselling authors and illustrators to create temporary immersive
installations, designed to feed childrens creativity and develop their
storytelling and creative writing skills.
Discover has a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional Exhibition and Project Officer (Maternity
cover) with impeccable coordination skills to support the delivery and
upkeep of our permanent play spaces and rolling exhibition programme.
Additionally, this role will support the delivery of our planned Story
Garden redevelopment to improve its design and play function.
The successful applicant will be a self-motivated
individual, well-organised with excellent attention to detail.
The applicant must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and use
their own initiative to manage workloads sensibly and efficiently
without constant supervision.
