This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their portfolio of space dressing for a family audience in one of London’s most exciting and culturally diverse arts venues.

Disco Kids is the Albany’s regular dance party for under 5s and their grown-ups. It features DJ/MC Jean Genie spinning tracks, dancers from C-12 and visuals from VJ Gemma Riggs. It’s a chance for families to dance, laugh and play together. Each Disco Kids is set to a different theme to keep the event unique, fun and engaging for regularly attending families.

Contract: Freelance
Fee: £500 across the two dates inclusive of planning and materials.

Brief: To design and dress the Albany’s unique, 360 degree aspect, theatre space inspired by the theme of each Disco Kids.

•    To create an engaging and fun environment for each event.

•    To work closely with the creative programmes coordinator, communicating ideas for the design in advance of each event.

•    To collaborate, on event days, with the Albany’s technical team and the other Disco Kids creative team in regards to the overall look and feel of the space.

•    To be available on the 18th September & 30th October to dress the space before the event.

Please note – We are keen for the Disco Kids designer to ‘up-cycle’ and be adaptive where possible to keep costs down and avoid unnecessary waste.

To apply please send a cover letter of no more than 1 side of A4, CV and examples of previous work or links to your website to Recruitment, the Albany, Douglas Way, Deptford, London. SE8 4AG or email vacancies@thealbany.org.uk
