We are looking for a freelance designer to work on our autumn season Disco Kids events in particular, but with a view to continued engagement longer term.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to expand their portfolio of space dressing for a family audience in one of Londons most exciting and culturally diverse arts venues.
Disco Kids is the Albanys regular dance party for under 5s and their grown-ups. It features DJ/MC Jean Genie spinning tracks, dancers from C-12 and visuals from VJ Gemma Riggs. Its a chance for families to dance, laugh and play together. Each Disco Kids is set to a different theme to keep the event unique, fun and engaging for regularly attending families.
Contract: Freelance
Fee: £500 across the two dates inclusive of planning and materials.
Brief: To design and dress the Albanys unique, 360 degree aspect, theatre space inspired by the theme of each Disco Kids.
To create an engaging and fun environment for each event.
To work closely with the creative programmes coordinator, communicating ideas for the design in advance of each event.
To collaborate, on event days, with the Albanys technical team and the other Disco Kids creative team in regards to the overall look and feel of the space.
To be available on the 18th September & 30th October to dress the space before the event.
Please note We are keen for the Disco Kids designer to up-cycle and be adaptive where possible to keep costs down and avoid unnecessary waste.
