Development Officer Sought

Sydenham and Forest Hill Youth Forum

Open Until:

Posted: 10/03/2022

Development Officer: £10 per hour, 6 hours per week, fixed-term 6 months (with opportunity to extend pending review and funding opportunities)
The Sydenham and Forest Hill Youth Forum are a small charity in terms of core operation but has a huge impact on the local community. They advocate for youth and community groups who operate in the wards of Sydenham, Perry Vale and Forest Hill, working very closely with the Lewisham wide Children and Young People’s Voluntary Sector Forum.
They’re seeking someone with a can do attitude, a self-starter, as well as a passionate person who understands both young people and the local community as well as how to work with key decision makers.
You will have the support of the Management Committee and draw on the resources of local volunteers and partnerships, however you will be the sole employee and be expected to organise your time effectively to deliver our aims and objectives. Should you enjoy your post after six months and with additional funding sought, opportunities to expand the hours and status of the role may become available.
