Siobhan Davies Dance is giving 12 youth dance groups from South London the opportunity to take part in The Making Space, a programme of work encouraging the exploration, discussion and practice in making and presenting new choreography both for and with young people.

The chosen youth dance leaders and their groups will participate in workshops led by four professional choreographers to find new ways of making and shaping dance for performance.
The Making Space workshops are aimed at committed youth dance leaders with a group or company that meet on a regular basis, who have a focus on performance and an interest in choreography. Groups from all different dance backgrounds and styles are welcome.
Workshop dates:
Sat 4 Dec 2010: Workshop for youth dance leaders and their groups at Siobhan Davies Studios, 11am 1pm
Jan Mar 2011, date TBC: Workshop with youth dance group at their usual venue to be scheduled individually.
Sat 12 Mar 2011: Follow up workshop for youth dance leaders at Siobhan Davies Studios, 10am-6pm
