The new Chair will be passionate about the purpose and values of Sound
Connections, be an advocate for its work, help build the charitys
profile and grow its fundraising base.
Sound
Connections exists to facilitate change. They work across the music community to
achieve inclusion, equity and social justice with young people.
Their vision
is that all children and young people age 0-25 can access high quality music
and progress through routes relevant to their lives and interests.
Their work
includes:
- supporting people in the early stages of their careers through their Wired4Music
network for people age 16-25; - a training and professional development programme
for the music and youth workforce; - and research and advocacy.
Their main
priorities are Youth Voice, Social Justice and music in Early Years. Innovation
and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do.
