There are many guides available to help organisations and individual artists evaluate their creative projects.
This one is produced by Youth Music but has uses beyond music projects. A really useful section of this guide is a comparison of different sources of evidence. The guide identifies sources of evidence and suggests strengths and weaknesses as in the example below.

Strengths
- Gives a viewpoint about the project other than your own
- May identify things you had not thought about
Weaknesses
- May not be fully reflective of participants opinions: they may be saying what they believe you want to hear
This guide is particularly useful for:

We ask all organisations applying for Youth Music funding to use this
guide to define their projects overall aim and intended outcomes, and
to plan how they will measure their outcomes by choosing indicators and
sources of evidence. We also ask all funded projects to use this guide
to analyse their evidence, write their evaluation, and share their
findings. - Anyone planning a music education project for children and young people
However, this guide can be used by anyone delivering a music-making
project with children and young people; its not just for those applying
for or holding Youth Music funding.
