Participatory arts practitioners have had to adapt and adapt and adapt again as the world has responded to the pandemic.
This ability to adapt is what makes a strong facilitator. Yet, this year flexibility has been pushed to its limits!
As
we move into a new stage of the pandemic, with schools (and Arts
Organisations) talking about ‘blended’ approaches to learning, how can
we as facilitators ensure we feel prepared?
LEAN
is inviting arts practitioners who work with children and young people
to join us on Wednesday 19th May 2021 from 9.30-11.30am for a skills’
flexing, strength building, limbering-up workshop designed to support
freelancers to be comfortable adapting their own workshops.
In
this 2 hour workshop we will be considering the challenges, potential
pitfalls, and moments of serendipity that come from working digitally
and in a blended situation. Without the pressure of twenty young people
you can talk with peers about how to respond to the unexpected. The aim
of this workshop is not to give you a five step solution that will suit
every situation, but rather to uncover how adaptable, clever, and
flexible you already are as a facilitator.
This workshop is open
to arts practitioners working with children and young people in South
East London. This is open to emerging artists, early career
facilitators, and those with a wealth of experience to share.

Creative Business Exchange
This event is part of the Lewisham Creative Enterprise Zone’s Creative Business Exchange organised by NX Hub
at Goldsmiths, University of London. The CBE is an ongoing series of
workshops and events that aims to bring together creative businesses in
Lewisham and acts as a forum for information exchange and showcasing.
If
