Tower of London targets lewisham Schools

The Tower of London has teamed up with Bishopsgate Institute to offer KS2 teachers a free CPD opportunity, based on the National Gallery’s highly successful ‘Take One Picture’ model.

Posted: 10/05/2010

The ‘Take One…’ CPD project aims to use a single building or archival document as the focus for a cross-curricular approach to the KS2 curriculum. It seeks to equip teachers with the appropriate skills and resources to enable them to use a single historic building or document as a valuable resource across the curriculum.

In addition, participating teachers will be offered the opportunity to take part in a ‘Take One…’ project in collaboration with the Tower of London or Bishopsgate Institute. Not only will these schools be able to work alongside experienced professionals from one of the sites, but will also be offered a free school visit to their chosen site.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 12 October 2010. However, please apply early as places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
