TeachMeet: Teacher wellbeing through creativity and the arts

Join A New Direction for an inspiring twilight event, to explore teacher wellbeing through creativity and the arts. Expert speakers will share their experience, practical innovations and personal insights into this emerging field.

This TeachMeet will be delivered by A New Direction Advocates (led by Orchard Primary School, Hackney) and will be an excellent opportunity for participants to network, share ideas and engage with other passionate educators about the powerful potential of the arts and creativity to support and improve teacher wellbeing.

Refreshments will be provided.

If you are interested in speaking at this event (all presentations must be no longer than 7 minutes, and slides/handouts are optional), please contact naranee.ruthra-rajan@anewdirection.org.uk as soon as possible. We are particularly keen to hear from speakers meeting one of the following criteria:

  • Speakers from schools that have an established and successful approach to teacher wellbeing

  • Speakers from arts/ cultural organisations that have an interest/ experience in supporting teacher wellbeing

  • Speakers from Artsmark Partner organisations or Platinum Artsmark Schools on how Artsmark/Arts Award can aid development of approaches to teacher wellbeing.

This event is suitable for teachers and teaching assistants working in London schools, from all disciplines and Key Stages, with an interest in wellbeing and creative learning. Cultural organisations with an interest and experience in supporting schools with teacher wellbeing are also welcome.
