The spectacular new galleries are Pacific Encounters, Polar Worlds, Tudor & Stuart Seafarers and Sea Things.  The galleries support pupils to navigate their own learning journeys, spanning a wide range of cross-curricular topics including exploration, the Spanish Armada, Titanic, climate change and much more.

During the evening event, you will have the opportunity to:

  • meet the Museum’s schools team
  • discover our schools programme for early years, primary, secondary, post-16 and SEND learners
  • explore our new galleries
  • encounter actor characters
  • handle museum objects
  • take away learning resources

Plus there will be an opening speech about the value of cultural education from Maggie Atkinson – England’s Children’s Commissioner (2010-2015) & Chair of A New Direction.

This event is free but it is essential to book in advance.
