Free event for school staff to hear about the new report from the Communications Trust from their Director, Octavia Holland.

Posted: 04/06/2017

Join London
Bubble Theatre and The Communication Trust for a morning of professional
development, research and playful drama.

The Communication Trust recently published Talking About a Generation,
reviewing current identification of, and support for, speech, language and
communication needs. Their report makes recommendations for government,
commissioners, regulators and practitioners, including those responsible for
teacher training. Octavia Holland; Director of The Communication Trust will
present on the report and the new SLC Framework, which helps managers identify
training needs.

London Bubble Theatre runs
Speech Bubbles, a KS1 drama intervention to support children’s SLC. Latest
research carried out by the University of East London showed that taking part
in Speech Bubbles lifted children’s performance out of categories that would
indicate cause for concern in relation to SLC. Associate Director Adam Annand
will give an introduction to Speech Bubbles and explore how drama in schools
can support communication development.
