In collaboration with Camerados, and based on her work with The Loss Project Carly Attridge presents a Spoon Room for any entrepreneurs, businesses, and freelancers who would like to connect with others in their communities and boost their wellbeing.
A Spoon Room is an online space for people to come together and share what’s on their mind. It offers a place to be together, permission to be rubbish, with no fixing, where we can look out for each other and get through tough times. We’re all experiencing different losses in the current climate – from loss of health, relationships breakdowns, loss of jobs and income. Now more than ever it is important to maintain human connection and spaces where we can come and connect, listen, share or just be alongside others.
Everyone is welcome.
Why are spoons involved?
Bring a spoon if you like – it’s just a helpful way to know who’s talking so we don’t talk over each other during a virtual meeting. Spoons have also been used for those experiencing chronic health conditions, to check in on people’s energy levels. A teaspoon meant you were feeling a bit ropey and a ladle if you were on top of the world. Feel free to decorate it or bring one that represents how you are feeling on the day. For more info about Spoon Rooms, take a look at the Camerados Guide.
