There is a buzz about resilience; but what does it look like in arts learning?
Posted: 10/03/2022
Come together to build Lewisham Arts and Resilience Community of Practice (CoP) with your peers.
Now is the chance to have your say and help devise what
it will be. As a group this is the first meeting to explore what you want to
learn and how.
The attendees
creating the Community of Practice will have a (modest) budget for the
programme, and will have priority on places for these activities.
Join us to share your views and to be part of this group
and the programme (for free).
Lewisham Education Arts Network and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music
and Dance wish to invite artists to come together to build a CoP as part of our SPARC project. SPARC aims to increase artists’ ability to apply resilience and emotional literacy practice to
their arts practice, and effectively measure the impact of this work with
children and young people (10-14yrs).
A CoP may achieve its aim(s) by
employing all or some of the following:
- Peer to peer problem solving
- Sharing information and experiences
- Sharing assets e.g. research
- Advocacy e.g. how the arts contribute
to building resilience in children and young people - Act as a sounding board
- Document
and disseminate the learning - Visits
e.g. see work supporting resilience in action - Mapping
and identifying gaps
Join us for the very
first meeting and be part of designing the CoP from the beginning.
Running this session is Rachael Perrin, Creative Facilitator & Consultant and Co-director of Soundcastle, with a few interesting and fun activities up her sleeve. And tea, coffee and biscuits all provided.
NB: Priority for these places will go to those who attended the SPARC Symposium in June 2015, and those who live/work in Lewisham.
Venue:
Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and
Dance, Laban Building, Creekside, Deptford, SE8 3DW
