Ever thought about leading your own choir or vocal group?
Let us start you off with a day of free workshops and demonstrations by the BBC Singers and musicians from Trinity Laban.

Sing Out! is a partnership between Lewisham Arts Service, Trinity Laban, Lewisham Music Service and the BBC Singers. The aim of the programme is to increase participation in group singing across the borough by encouraging the formation of a diverse range of choirs and providing opportunities for singing activities and public performances, including the high profile Music Nation event at the Roundhouse on 3, 4 & 5 March 2012.
In addition to establishing new choirs, existing groups will be supported in increasing their diversity and artistic breadth. Choir leaders will receive training from the BBC Singers, supported by Trinity Laban music students and new groups will participate in a rehearsal and training programme, leading to a public performance.
The SING OUT! Launch is a free event, with workshops and demonstrations to provide skills & information to anybody interested in forming a new choir or reinvigorating an existing choir. From this, up to six new choirs will be launched in the borough targeting specific market segments such as older singers, dads group etc. and focusing geographically on areas lacking in provision (wards in the south of the borough plus Evelyn).
