Practical Evaluation: Measuring the impact of programmes for children and young people in museums and galleries

 

At this free event, museum and gallery practitioners share their experiences of using surveys underpinned by digital technology to evaluate activities with children and young people. This is part an Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Follow-on Fund project between The National Gallery, The University of Cambridge Museums and The University of Warwick.

the event you will:

  • Learn about the findings of
    previously funded AHRC research projects relevant to museum
    evaluation with Dr Eric Jensen 
  • Hear case studies from practitioners sharing their
    evaluation projects with children and young people
  • Find out more about logic models and see how they can
    be used to plan and evaluate your programmes
  • Review logic model and survey templates for
    different learning programmes for children and young people
    created during the project
  • Develop logic models and initial evaluation
    ideas for your own programmes alongside other museum and
    gallery educators and experts in evaluation techniques 
  • Share your own thoughts about how you might use a
    similar approach within your own organisation
