This session from Sound Connections aims to provide practical tools for organisations and individuals and explore the experience of marginalised communities working in the arts, particularly focusing on whiteness, race, class and privilege.
Thursday 6 December 2018
3.00pm - 5.30pm

In the session we will reflect on how the structures of whiteness, race, class and privilege shape organisations, and think about how we can start to recognize the structural inequalities we are working within, and consider where the opportunities for intervention are.
This session will take the style of an interactive workshop and will be facilitated by Karen Larbi from Resist and Renew, a collective of friends; activists; artists; and radical educators who are working towards building an autonomous community and radical learning space valuing intersectionality, ecology, feminism, anarchism, anti-racism and direct democracy.
