Making Music for TV Ads

If you’re already making music and are looking for ways to earn income from your creativity, this course reveals sought after industry secrets of how to make music for TV adverts.

Posted: 12/11/2012

You’ll learn how adverts are made and the process by which music is
commissioned and chosen. You’ll analyse the impact that sound can have
on film and how big brands use music in their TV advertising to attract
consumers and sell their products. You’ll also cover the basic
principles of copyright, how to value your music, and what to charge if a
brand wants to use your music in an ad campaign.

You’ll be taught by Augusta Quiney and Peter Challis, founders of boutique music production company A-BOMB
, who have built their reputation through award winning music
composition and sound design for global ad campaigns for heavyweight
clients including Coca Cola, Sony, Nike, Cadbury, EA Sports, Adidas,
Orange, Renault and Playstation3.

The course is taught through demonstrations, examples and coursework
and you need to be 18+, have experience in producing music using Logic 8
and/or Garage Band and be willing to commit time outside of the course
to complete your projects.

£100 (£50 concession). Starts Thursday 17 January.
