Introduction to Spotting & Removing Barriers

Shape presents this session to give you the knowledge and skills to think creatively about removing barriers to deaf and disabled people.

This session is part of a series of training, and will cover Disability Equality and the Social Model of Disability, including:
• Language ‘dos’ and ‘don’ts’
• Key information about the Equality Act 2010
• Communication skills
• Spotting barriers and thinking creatively about removing them

Patricipants will receive:
• One to one support
• Factsheets and guides to take away
• Ongoing support as and when required including a 6 month review with SHAPE

Costs are £10 for an individual, £25 for a small organisation, or £50 for a large organisation. Discounts are available when booking mutliple sessions in the training series. Contact Shape for more details on cost.

Training location is Civic Suite, Lewisham Town Hall, Rushey Green, London SE6 4RU. Due to the high level of individual support, we have a very limited number of places for this course. Book now to avoid disappointment.
