Free CPD for teachers and project opportunity at the Tower of London!

For the third year running, the Tower of London has teamed up with Bishopsgate Institute to offer KS2 teachers a free CPD opportunity.

This is based on the National Gallery’s highly successful ‘Take One Picture’ model.

Inspired by the rich history and iconic nature of the Tower of London’s buildings, and by the world-renowned London collections of Bishopsgate Institute, our ‘Take One…’ CPD project aims to equip teachers with the appropriate skills and resources to enable them to use a single historic building, object or archive document as a valuable resource across the curriculum.

In addition, we are also offering participating teachers the opportunity to take part in a ‘Take One…’ project in collaboration with the Tower of London or Bishopsgate Institute. Not only will these schools be able to work alongside experienced professionals from one of the sites, but we will also offer each participating school a free visit to their chosen site.

Our teacher CPD day takes place on Tuesday 18th October 2011. Places are strictly limited, so for further information or to book a place please complete and return the enclosed application form. The closing date for applications is Tuesday 11th October, but you are advised to apply early as places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

"Just to say a huge thanks ... I am looking forward to progressing with this project thanks to your support, advice and guidance"
