Across three CPD sessions in the 2023-24 academic year, this programme will support teachers to develop an understanding of how race and power might manifest in the classroom and explore how drama activities, along with increasing cultural capital, can promote anti-racist values.

Time: 1pm-4pm

Location: Unicorn Theatre, 147 Tooley St, London SE1 2HZ

Across the three sessions, the programme will cover:

  • The language and tools needed to address issues of race and power and advocate for anti-racist values at your school
  • How issues of race and power shape your personal identity and how to take steps to transform your professional practice
  • Drama and creative learning activities to address these areas and embed in your lesson planning
  • How to introduce and promote different cultural perspectives & encourage diverse representation in the curriculum

The first session will take place at 1 – 4pm on Thursday 7 December 2023 at the Unicorn Theatre.
