Effective Facilitation Day with Good Vibrations

Arts Council England has funded Good Vibrations to run a day-long Effective Facilitation workshop for music practitioners to develop their facilitation techniques.
Date: 18 November 2018
Time: 10-5pm
Location: Royal College of Music, Recital Hall, Prince Consort Road, SW7 2BS
Cost: £25

Posted: 10/03/2022

About the training:

  • It will be run by Good Vibrations, a national charity with an excellent reputation in criminal justice and mental health settings. See academic research on Good Vibrations’ impact and approach.

  • You will immerse yourself in the experience of being a participant in a condensed, typical Good Vibrations course.

  • You will observe an experienced facilitator modelling a range of facilitation techniques and experience the impact on group dynamics and musical outcomes.

  • You’ll have fun and will get the opportunity to get to know other practitioners working in challenging circumstances.

  • You’ll get recordings of the music you produce on the day.

  • You’ll learn a new skill – to play Javanese Gamelan!

  • We’ll share new Royal College of Music research on our facilitation approach – the theory behind what you experience on the day.

  • You will come out feeling inspired about the potential of incorporating the new facilitation techniques you’ve learnt into your practice.
