Have you ever needed to give your creative arts group that extra challenge in a new direction? Or wondered how bringing another art form into your practice could strengthen your approach to facilitation?
In this training day we will explore how both music and movement can be combined in order to promote wellbeing, resilience and confidence building in mental health settings.
There is no one correct way of facilitating and often you may need to adapt your approach depending upon the context and the people involved. Through a dynamic range of cross-art sound and movement activities, together we will learn how to become more comfortable and mindful of working in the moment, taking care to be responsive to others.
This training day will deepen your cross-art facilitation practice, developing skills in personal reflection and communication as well as examining how your own integrity as a facilitator can lead to genuine empowerment of others.
For this training, Soundcastle are working in partnership with Simon Magnus of Root Experience to combine our respective music and movement practices. This cross-arts facilitation training is the result of collaborating together on a year long Arts Council England project in partnership with Sussex Recovery College and Brighton University, researching how music and movement can be combined to promote wellbeing, resilience and confidence building in mental health settings.
We are able to sell tickets for this event at a lower supplemented cost due to support from Arts Council England.
