Soundcastle are offering a practical CPD session to explore The Art
of Facilitation in Community Music and Educational Contexts.
Would you like to enable others to express their true identity
through creative music-making? Whether you are an educator, musician or
animateur, this CPD session will broaden your skills of creative
facilitation with diverse groups of people and work on personal tools
to continue developing your own, unique leadership approach.
Using practical activities from the Youth Music funded Musical
Beacons toolkit, this CPD session will enable you to immediately put
your skills of facilitation into action on the day itself and receive
constructive feedback from the Soundcastle team. The primary focus of
the CPD is to introduce the following ideas:
How to create an inclusive, focused and trusting group energy
How to enhance communication skills in your team and yourself
How to work creatively with mixed ages
How to discover and explore ideas through sounds
How to facilitate expressing identity and enable self-expression in creative music-making
Group reflection and feedback
It gives us great pleasure to share the Soundcastle approach and we hope to welcome you on the 7th February.
100% of our previous CPD participants would recommend a Soundcastle CPD to their colleagues! Here is some of their feedback:
‘Facilitation is so different from usual instrumental teaching and I have many ideas to put into my teaching now.
The reflection time enabled us to go over all the activities in detail as well as any changes we could make.
It was informative as well as hands on which is the perfect balance.
It gave me a practical experience of music facilitation and exercises to incorporate into my practice.
