We are looking for people who want to help create the changes that are needed on a local and global scale through muralism and community engagement. Candidates should either be Lewisham residents or Goldsmiths students.

We hope to enrol young people, indicative age 18-35, with a variety of interests and backgrounds to form teams with a rich mix of abilities and talents. Enthusiasm for the arts, making, collaborating, problem-solving and an eagerness to learn is essential.
You will learn a mix of participatory processes and practical knowledge about how to create murals on the streets of Lewisham. Each group will create a collaborative mural whilst engaging a community group.
The course will begin on 13th October 2021. The first term ends on the 11th of December. The second term will run from 12th January to 9th April. The course has two 3 hour sessions a week on Wednesday evenings (6 pm – 9 pm) and Saturday mornings (10 am – 1 pm) with an additional 4 hours a week of independent work a week. We will be painting a mural at the end of the course which will require a further 7 consecutive days commitment from students.
