New pubic artwork launched Ladywell Fields, Lewisham

A new public art work ‘Turning Tree’, a sculpture by the
artist Henry Krokatsis in Ladywell Fields, will be launched on Saturday 16th of
May 1pm.
Made from a cast of a fallen Black Poplar tree found in the park; the polished aluminim sculpture is a permanent addition to the Ravensbourne River. The sculpture will rotate with the changing current. Artist Henry Krokatsis lives and works in London.
At the launch there will be free refreshments, opportunities to speak to the
artist, hands on children’s activities and bring along wellies for a
chance to wade out to the sculpture
