Opportunity for Young People to become Festival Makers with Southbank Centre

As part of the My Deptford weekend we will be building on Southbank Centre’s ‘Festival Maker’ programme for young people and recruiting young people from Deptford and the surrounding areas to participant in the weekend.

We will be holding an open day for young people to find out more about this opportunity at The Albany on 5 June 5-7pm.

This will be a fun session to learn more about the project, get a taster of what it is to be a Festival Maker and meet other young people. The session will be run by Yemisi Blake and Ruth Hardie from Southbank Centre’s Learning and Participation team.

Any young people who are interested but have missed the Open Day will be invited to a short taster session before the project starts.

The Festival Makers project (including the photography project) will start at the end of June. We will give the young people the dates at the Open Day. They will also be asked to complete an application form at the end of the Open Day session.
