A new database aimed at helping those working in the cultural industries to make the case for funding the arts has been launched by the umbrella body for Londons boroughs.

The Culture Database, designed by London Councils, which represents the capitals 33 local authorities, pulls together a range of resources to allow users to see how the arts can support other social and economic objectives such as health or crime outcomes, look at what provision already exists in their area and assess local participation rates.
