New report shows creativity's positive impact on our mental health     Culture is a powerful tool for improving our wellbeing – something the London Borough of Culture programme has proven again and again! A new report, Understanding Creative Health in London, commissioned by the Mayor of London, demonstrates the significant, positive impact of creative health on Londoners, and how the sector needs more support. The report analyses the landscape of creative health in our city, how it works and what the challenges and opportunities are.

You can watch the recording of the launch event, for Understanding Creative Health in London with addresses by Justine Simons OBE, Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries, and Professor Kevin Fenton, statutory health advisor to the Mayor. As part of the event, everyone was asked ‘What is your medicine?’ – it could be anything from knitting and dancing to painting and baking! We got some wonderful responses  and it was inspiring to see just how much a positive impact creativity has on our mental health.
