National Literacy Trust

The National Literacy Trust, an independent charity, offers training to improve pupils’ literacy skills across the curriculum.

The training is suitable for whole-school INSET and can be tailored to your needs and priorities.

Talk for Writing (primary) An interactive storytelling approach developed by former headteacher and literacy expert Pie Corbett.

Transforming Reading (primary) Transform pupils’ skills by increasing reading in school and at home.

Transforming Boys’ Literacy (primary) If your boys are struggling with reading and writing, this training will show you how to transform their attitudes and improve their literacy skills.

Transforming Speaking and Listening (secondary) Training that will boost communication skills for success in school and life.

National Young Readers’ Programme for families (primary) Support reading at home by enabling you to help less confident parents including those who have low levels of literacy themselves.
