Creative Discussion on: Resilience, well-being, and the arts with children and young people

LEAN ran its
annual education event on 11th February: Using the arts: resilience and wellbeing with children
and young people, with a
keynote speaker, talks, discussion and creative workshops.
Fresh from
this event, LEAN will facilitate with special guests (below) a creative
discussion, complimenting the Festival’s theme ‘Happiness and well-being of children, young people’ with an arts
emphasis.
Our special guests include:
Adam Annand, Associate
Director Creative Learning, London Bubble Theatre Company. London
Bubble delivers a drama project that supports childrens communication
development ‘Speech Bubbles’.
Helen Tanner LLB
PGDip DTH MA, Psychosocial Consultant, Trainer, Arts Psychotherapist has an extensive portfolio of working
nationally and internationally including post-conflict Libya, South Sudan,
Kosovo, Belfast, Botswana, and is a Rotary Peace Fellow.
Dr.
Richard Corrigall,
Consultant Adolescent
Psychiatrist, South London and Maudsley Trust
is involved in a number of arts based projects, including curation of The
Art of Recovery exhibition of teenage art therapy and is linked with the CuesEd
project for Primary aged children.
It will be a
creative activity where participants engage with ideas and discussion on the
arts, well-being and resilience. The workshop will produce thoughts/questions/comments
on paper which we will display as a washing line.
