Hello! We’re Chloe (she/they) and Lindsay (she/her), sharing the post of Arts Fundraising Development Consultant until the end of December this year, and we’re here to help with fundraising queries and advice for the next few months.
Posted: 31/05/2023
In particular, we can offer:
- 1hr advice calls, if you want to chat through your fundraising needs and have a sounding board or some advice from us. This could be very broad like “I know we need to explore new types of fundraising but I don’t know where to start…” or more targeted like “I want to improve how we’re telling donors about our impact, can we talk it through?”
- Shorter 30minute advice calls, if you’ve got a smaller, specific question you want answering e.g. “Do you have any top tips for running a fundraising event?” or “Can you help me understand what this application question is really asking?”
- Reviewing funding bids you’re working on (please make sure to give us a bit of time on this so not the day before your deadline!)
- Helping with collaborative bids – if there are multiple organisations coming together on a joint bid, we can give your feedback or help you think about partnership working
We’ll also be offering some training sessions and working with the other Lewisham Fundraising Development Managers on some joint events.
To sign up for any of this support, please fill in our form HERE
Or, to let us know your ideas for training topics or to ask any questions, please email us on chloe@radprojects.uk.
P.s. In general, we’re most available on Wednesdays!
A bit about us
Lindsay met Chloe on the Arts Fundraising and Leadership Programme (funded by Arts Council England) in 2018, when she worked with a consortium of small arts organisations across Dorset. She then went on to a role as Development Manager at Spitalfields Music, leading on trusts and foundations and membership as well as working with major donors, corporates and event fundraising. From 2018-22, Lindsay worked at the Foundation for Social Improvement (FSI) where she designed and delivered hundreds of training courses at subsidised prices for small-medium sized charities across all cause areas, as well as providing consultancy, advice sessions and the Small Charity Week campaign. She loves London’s arts and food scenes, green spaces and queer spaces, and sewing/knitting/crafting!
Chloe is a fundraising consultant and creative producer, specialising in bid-writing and strategy for arts, culture, community and youth charities and projects. She has worked in the arts and cultural sector for over a decade, starting out in project delivery, before completing the ACE funded Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Programme in 2014 with host organisation Artsadmin, and embarking on a full time career in fundraising. After Artsadmin Chloe went on to work as Development Manager (Trusts and Foundations) for the Unicorn Theatre, then Development Manager for the Institute of Imagination, before transitioning to freelance consulting. As a freelancer, her recent clients include The Albany, We Are Lewisham (London Borough of Culture campaign), Studio Ackroyd and Harvey, artist duo Yara + Davina, Hackney Showroom, Football Journeys, and Royal Court Theatre. Chloe is a craft and DIY-enthusiast, keen champion of social justice and really enjoys giving pep talks!
Between us, we can help with getting started with fundraising, developing a strategy and/or case for support, top-tips for bid-writing, communicating your impact, finding and prioritising prospects, and writing a fundraising budget. We can also help with creative development and project planning, to help you get your idea fundraising-ready.
