Where can we do our thing?

3-5:30pm, Tuesday 20 March 12

at The Big Red, 30 Deptford Church St, Deptford SE8 4RZ

£10.00

Visit unusual venues, meet the owners, find out how and where others have delivered their workshops.

We will start at Big Red, a pizza restaurant partly housed in a London bus and incorporating several other flexible and unusual spaces. Hear from Brigid Howarth, Creative Industries Officer about creative clusters, market links, business to business relationships, case studies, challenges and benefits, and how the council can help. Explore Big Red, meet the owner and listen to his ambitions for the business. Discuss how you could use Big Red for your activities, any barriers to using the space and solutions. We will move to two other local venues (traditional and non-traditional) to meet more owners and continue the conversation.

You will leave with more ideas and inspiration as to where to deliver your activities, a list of potential venues, and the empty shops toolkit.
