Arts Award gains UCAS recognition.

Arts Award are delighted to announce that the Level 3

Gold Arts Award has been recognised on the UCAS Tariff.

Arts Award, run by the Arts Council England and Trinity Guildhall, is a national qualification which supports young people to develop as artists and arts leaders. 

Trinity Guildhall and Arts Council England have announce that the Level 3 Gold Arts Award has been recognised on the UCAS Tariff and has been awarded 35 Tariff points.

Students applying to University for the 2011/12 academic year will be able to include their Gold Arts Award when completing their UCAS application form. 

Sarah Kemp, CEO Trinity College London, says “We are delighted with the news – not least that it gives young people the recognition that we feel they deserve and allows the qualification to be recognised officially as one which prepares students for university study.”

 

Diana Walton, Head of Arts Award Development, Arts Council England says “Carrying UCAS points is very important for the Gold Arts Award’s credibility as a qualification.We hope this will encourage more young people to use Gold Arts Award to support their pathways into Higher Education.”
