The Greenwich Dance & Trinity Laban Partnership is delighted to be offering two youth groups and their leaders a FREE opportunity to develop a performance piece to showcase at their Youth Dance Cabaret with mentorship from inspirational and experienced choreographers.

Selected groups will be assigned an experienced youth dance choreographic mentor, from either Greenwich Dance or Trinity Laban, to work with. They will support the youth group leader and dancers to create a new performance piece of between 3 and 5 minutes in length to be performed at Greenwich Dance on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th April.
This opportunity is for all youth dance groups based in Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich or Lewisham regardless of the dance style they specialise in.
Youth group leaders will be responsible for recruiting their dancers, organising and leading rehearsals and chaperoning their group.
Greenwich Dance and Trinity Laban will be able to offer limited support for travel, costuming and other expenses.
Criteria and applications
To apply to participate, youth dance groups must complete an application form and submit footage of previous work either by a vimeo or youtube link.
Youth dance groups will be selected by a panel of young people based on:
varied dance styles
inclusive dance groups i.e. those with disabled participants;
age range: under 26 years including group leader/choreographer
geographical location (must be based in Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich or Lewisham)
dance performance, skills and commitment of participants toward the aims of the project
