To be eligible for a position on the Apprenticeship scheme you must:
Be over the age of 16 and under the age of 25
Not have already achieved a qualification higher than a
level 3 please note we cannot accept applications from graduates
Have full residency entitlement, there must be no restrictions
on your status in the UK (all successful candidates will need to produce their
passport once a job offer is made)
Have GSCE A* C in English and Maths or the equivalent
ability (all potential applicants will be expected to complete an initial assessment
at a local college)

Sales and events assistant
The Apprentice’s duties will include
You will be proactive in selling our spaces as well as developing good
relationships with our existing and potential new bookers. You will be
providing front-line customer service on a daily basis, dealing with enquiries
and space bookings, process administrative tasks and payments, help to run
events, ensuring technical and health and safety requirements are met, and
collect and record feedback and statistical information from our visitors.
What we are looking for

Willing and keen to learn and to work towards a career in
business development and sales within events management or the arts sector
Enthusiasm, passion and interest for developing business
partnerships both new and old, pro-active customer service, executing events
and arts program and their marketing
IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word,
Outlook and adept to the use of digital and social media to a professional
standard

Technician Apprenticeship-
The Apprentice’s duties will include
1. Work with the production
team in the provision of appropriate technical support to visiting companies,
artists and in-house productions from get-in to get-out. This includes
loading/unloading, rigging and operation of lighting, sound and AV and stage
management.
2. Act as Duty Technician as required.
3. Assist with routine maintenance and improvement work
throughout the Albany, including electrical works and regular testing of
equipment (e.g. PAT testing, emergency lighting)
4. At all times to be responsible for safe working practices
of self and others within the Albany, including safe operation of all backstage
areas and instruction of visiting artists on emergency and evacuation
procedures and assisting during an evacuation.
5. Provide Technical Manager with regular stock checks of
consumables and supplies.

Marketing Assistant
The Apprentice’s duties will include
The successful candidate will carry out tasks to help promote a wide range
of events to diverse audiences. Day to day activity will include keeping print
displays up to date, hosting market stalls with the wider staff team and
talking to the public about events at the Albany, drafting marketing materials
including tweets, emails and facebook posts, talking to other venues and local
businesses about cross-promotion, and a range of other promotional tasks.
