New Cross + Deptford Free Film Festival is a community-led project that celebrates film, fun and the local area. Last year 1000 people came to our 21 film events in 17 different venues.

We need your help to create and run a free programme of film events for the second edition of the ten-day festival, which runs on 26 April – 5 May 2013. Do you fancy running an event? Or helping with marketing, event stewarding and fundraising? No experience necessary – just bags of creativity, enthusiasm and determination!

About us
The festival is run by a team of people who are excited about film and love the local area. We have no superhero powers, and we all give our time for free. Last year we organised events including:
- The Science of Sleep projected on Lewisham Arthouses ceiling
- a bicycle-powered Up in Telegraph Hill Park
- Pasolinis Gospel According to Matthew at St Nicholas Church
- a tour of the lost cinemas of Deptford at the Big Red Pizza
- a glow-in-the-dark Alice in Wonderland.
